Schoolboy drowns
A schoolboy drowned in a pond near the upazila parishad office in Hathazari upazila on Monday. The dead was identified as Mohammad Millat, 14, only son of Zillur Rahman, a teacher of Chittagong University School. Millat was a student of class VIII of the same school. Locals said, Millat along with his friends went to play football at the nearby Parboti School field. After the game they went to take bath in a pond. But he drowned as he did not know how to swim. Later, his friends rescued him and rushed him to Hathazari upazila health complex where attending doctors declared him dead.
