Ex-Kuet teacher killed
A former teacher of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet) was crushed under the wheels of a train in city's Daulatpur rail station on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as M Nazrul Islam, 60, former assistant professor of electrical and electronics engineering department and a resident of Daulatpur area. Witnesses said the Shariatpur-bound train hit him at the station when he was crossing the rail track on his way home, leaving him dead on the spot. The body was sent to Khulna Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
