Fertiliser seized
BDR of Joypurhat yesterday recovered at least 5 tonnes of Indian substandard fertiliser from a bordering village.
In another raid at least 634 bottles of phensidyl were also recovered, BDR said.
Police seized a passenger bus and two motorcycles in this connection but none was arrested.
Major Zakir Hossain of Joypurhat-3 Battalion said that a BDR team raided different border villages including Ratanpur, Shalpra and Gopalpur of Panchbibi upazila of Joypurhat and Monglabazaar village of Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur and recovered the fake fertiliser and the drugs.
