20 hurt in Netrakona clash
At least 20 people were injured, six of them seriously as villagers clashed at Asadpur under Khaliajuri upazila Friday night over a disputed water body.
Police and locals said, there was a long-standing conflict between Abdur Rashid and Elahi Mia over a disputed water body at Asadpur village.
On Friday night when Rashid group went to the water body for fishing then Elahi group attacked them with sharp and lethal weapons. Rashid group retaliated the attack leaving 20 people from both sides injured.
Seriously injured Elahi Mia, Elaluddin, Bablu Mia, Jamaluddin, Sohel Mia and Nishel Mia were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
