Kidnapped boys rescued in Sirajganj
Two boys, kidnapped from Manikganj for ransom on Tuesday, were rescued in Tarash upazila on Wednesday.
A gang of three abducted Ariful Islam, 13, son of Abdul Kader, and Abu Huraira, 13, son of Khorshed Alam, of Sanail village under Singrair upazila Tuesday morning.
They took the boys to Mahishluti in Tarash upazila and phoned the victims' families from a phone-fax shop demanding Tk four lakh as ransom.
The phone-fax shop owner informed the police of the matter. Police immediately raided the area and rescued the boys. They also arrested one of the kidnappers named Selim while the rest managed to flee.
