BCL men, bus staff clash in Bagerhat
Traffic movement on Bagerhat-Khulna highway stopped for two and a half hours as activists of Chhatra League (BCL) and bus staffs engaged in a clash yesterday morning.
Witnesses said three activists of BCL got into a Bagerhat-bound bus forcibly when it reached C&B Bazar at 10:00am.
Bus staffs complained of the matter to the leaders of inter-city bus owners' association when the bus reached Barakpur Bazar. The two sides clashed twice over the matter.
At one stage the BCL activists along with the locals blocked the road at C&B Bazar at 11:00am. The bus staffs also put up barricade on the road at Bagerhat stand protesting BCL attack.
