JMB man arrested in Naogaon
Police arrested a member of banned Islamist outfit Jma'atul Mujaheedin Bangladesh (JMB) at Shimulia village under Atrai upazila in Naogaon yesterday afternoon.
The arrestee was identified as Golam Rasul,52, of the village.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Atrai police station raided Shimulia village of the upazila at around 12:00 pm and arrested Golam Rasul from his house.
Abdul Mannan, sub- inspector of Atrai police station said, he was a close aide to executed JMB kingpin Bangla Bhai. He was an accused in a case, lodged in 2006, December 31 with Atrai police station and since then he was fugitive, he said.
