Export-import resumes thru' Benapole port
Import and export between India and Bangladesh through Benapole land port resumed yesterday morning after remaining suspended for one day.
A total of 57 truckloads of goods from India entered Bangladesh while 32 truckloads of goods went to India since morning till filling of this report yesterday afternoon.
Custom Cargo Officer Debashis Kunda at Benapole check-post said import and export between the two countries resumed on a full scale from morning.
Earlier, on Monday the activists of CPI and CPM halted import-export by hoisting a red flag at Indian land port Petrapole, as the parties called a dawn-to-dusk strike all over India to protest price hike of oil and gas in India.
