Eight get life for killing 9-yr-old boy
Additional District Judge's Court-2, Kishoreganj, yesterday sentenced eight people to life imprisonment (RI) in a child murder case.
The lifers are Abdur Rahman, Helal Mia, Helim Mia, Billal Mia,Kafil Uddin, Saidur Rahman, Samsu Mia, and Idris Mia.
The court acquitted an accused named Julekha Begum as murder charge against her could not be proved.
According to prosecution, a gang of nine people strangled Omar Faruq, 9, son of Abu Siddik of Maizkhapon area under Kishoreganj Sadar upazila on October 9, 2004.
Victim's father Abu Siddik filed a case with Sadar Police Station the same, accusing nine people of killing his son.
