UP chairman arrested
Kalapara police arrested Kamruzzaman alias Shahid Ambar, chairman of Nilganj Union Parishad (UP) under Kalapara upazla on Tuesday in a case of misappropriation of CI sheets.
Police sent him to Kalapara magistrate's court on the day and the court sent him to jail.
Police said, they arrested the UP chairman as a court issued a warrant of arrest.
One Wahidul Jomaddar of Kumirmara village under the upazila filed the case in 2008.
