Bombs, firearms recovered in Khulna, Bogra

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-6) recovered four powerful bombs, one revolver and a magazine Saturday midnight from the residence of 'Hatkata' Khaleque of Rajapur village under Rupsha upazila. However, none was arrested in this connection till filing of the report yesterday afternoon. The bombs, revolver and the magazine were handed over to police yesterday noon. Our staff correspondent in Bogra adds: Bogra Sadar police arrested three people Saturday evening and recovered firearms from their possession. Sub-inspector (SI) Khairul Bashar said, police recovered one shooter gun and three bullets. The arrestees are SSC examinee Md Rifat Al Saba, 18, MM Ratan, 30 and Md Muktar Hossain, 20. Police arrested them from Namajgarh area while they were entering the town allegedly for mugging. However, Muktar claimed himself as an activist of Jubo League and said he bought the arms for Tk 3,000 from Char Matha.
