3 more held in Bogra student killing case

Detective Branch of police raided different areas of the district town Friday and arrested three more in connection with killing of a student of ASA University. Police said a gang of muggers stabbed Al Momin, 27, a fourth year student of BBA, to death on the night of January 22 in Silimpur area of the town and took away his belongings. Following a case filed by the victim's brother-in-law Akhter Hossain Polash, police on the same night arrested one of the accused, Panna, 25, from Malgram area of the town. Al Momin, son of Tofazzal Hossain hailed from Chakgopal village in Sapahar upazila of Naogaon district. DB police said, acting on a tip-off, they raided several areas of the town on Friday night and arrested the three accused identified as Razab Ali, 23, Rubel, 25, and Sajal, 24. Later, when produced before the court of judicial magistrate Nahiduzzaman Saturday, the accused confessed that they along with two other absconding accused Arif and Manik murdered Momin and looted his belongings.
