Boy injured as outlaws explode bomb in Pabna

Police on Wednesday night arrested an operative of 'Janajudhha' faction of outlawed PBCP in the town and recovered firearms from his possession. Arrestee Md Altaf Hossain,35, is son of Tasir Uddin of Bhairab village in Santhia upazila. Acting on a tip-off, Ataikula police arrested Altaf and on the basis of his statement recovered a Pakistan-made rifle and four bullets from Shimulchara village. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Atatikula police station Md Sirajul Islam said outlaw Altaf is an activist of 'Janajudhha' and accused in several cases. In another development, a boy was injured as the outlawed operatives exploded bombs at Chandai village in Atghoria upazila at about 8:00 pm on Wednesday. Quoting locals police said, outlaws hurled bomb at Dulal, a rival outlaw of the village when he was going home. Dulal managed to escape attack but Joynal, 12, received serious injury.
