Banned notebooks seized in Pabna
A mobile court here seized a huge number of banned notebooks in the town yesterday morning.
Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Pabna, Emam Uddin Kabir led the mobile court aided by Rapid Action Battalion (Rab).
They raided the office of 'Rajshahi Transport' at Dilalpur at about 10:00 in the morning and seized 14 bundles containing 1,973 pieces of guidebooks meant for class three to eight. The seized books worth about Tk 2.37 lakh were published by 'Jupitar Publication,' the law enforcers said.
ASP of Rab-12, Pabna camp Akhterul Alam said the books were brought to Pabna for 'New Book House'. The law enforcers later destroyed the books at Pabna Rab camp, he said.
