Top outlaw murdered
A 'regional leader' of outlawed PBCP 'Janajudhha' faction was shot dead at village Lakhmipur Charpara under Ataikula police station yesterday.
Police said rivals shot dead Makbul Hossain,39, son of Rawshan Ali of village Phulbaria in Santhia upazila in the early morning.
Locals found the bullet-hit body at Lakhmipur Charpara and informed police. A team from Ataikula police station rushed to the spot to recover the body and sent it to Sadar hospital for autopsy.
Internal feud in outlawed factions might be the reason behind the murder, police said.
