Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on Tuesday night arrested a top leader of outlawed PBCP Lal Pataka faction with firearms from village Nurpur under Sadar upazila. Arrestee Abdul Kader,36, is son of Ahmed Ali of village Badal in Faridpur upazila. Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-12 raided Nurpur bypass road area at about 8:00 pm and caught Kader from the spot. The team recovered a Pakistan made revolver along with two bullets from his possession. Rab said, Kader is a top member of the outlawed party and relative of Kamruzzaman Oli, former district commander of Lal Pataka faction. Oli was killed in a shootout with law enforcers a few months ago.
