11 brickfield owners fined
A mobile court yesterday fined 11 brickfield owners in Ghatail upazila for using firewood for burning bricks and for running brickfields without licences.
A joint team led by executive magistrate raided the brickfields in Chandtara area, Rab sources said.
The court fined Nabojug Brickfield Tk 50,000, Adarsa Brickfield Tk 50,000, Milon Brickfield Tk 30,000, Swadesh Brickfield Tk 35,000, Mou Brickfield Tk 50,000, MM Brickfield Tk 50,000, Akota Brickfield Tk 35,000, MSM Brickfield Tk 40,000, Meghna Brickfield Tk 40,000, Liton Brickfield Tk 50,000 and Modern Brickfield Tk 40,000.
The mobile court also seized 7240cft firewood from the brickfields.
