Shibir's 'model admission test' at govt college
Islami Chhatra Shibir has conducted a model admission test using the classrooms of Moulvibazar Government College without permission from the college authorities.
Shibir activists arranged the model test ahead of the upcoming examination for admission into the honours course under the National University (NU) from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Friday, campus sources said.
Earlier on the day, another test was taken at the college from 10:00am to 11:30am for recruitment of primary teachers.
College Principal Mrs Shamsunahar Khan said she was not present at the college during the 'model test' and she had not given any permission for using the college classrooms for the purpose.
As the classrooms of the college remained open on the day for the written examination to recruit primary teachers, Shibir took the opportunity for holding their model test, she said.
Leaders of several student organisations including Chhatra League, Chhatra Union and Samajtantrik Chhatra Front alleged that a few pro-Jamaat teachers of the college helped Shibir to hold the model test by using college classrooms.
They said Shibir activities hampered the normal academic atmosphere on the campus.
AB Kabir Ahmed, president of Shibir's Moulvibazar district unit, said his organisation arranged such programmes to develop skill of admission seekers across the country.
Denying the allegation of holding the model test at the college without taking permission, Kabir said about 400 admission seekers participated in the model test.
