On Monday, the principal sent his official letter by post to the secretary of ministry of health and family planning expressing his desire to step down. The ministry is yet to accept his resignation letter, said Dr Hamid Asgar who is holding temporary charge of the principal as KP Sarker went on leave. "I want to serve KMC as a teacher," KP Sarker mentioned in his letter. During one-year of his term as principal, he faced tough agitations by students due to manifold reasons. Sources and insiders of the college said the principal had no other alternative but to seek resignation from his post being a victim of some unwanted circumstances, which vitiated academic atmosphere on the campus. The post of principal never made him happy, as it is full of thorns due to political reason, KP Sarker said several times before offering his resignation.
