NEC approves Tk 205,145cr annual development programme for 2020-21 FY

National Economic Council (NEC) today approved an annual development programme (ADP) worth Tk 205,145 crore -- for 1,584 protects -- for the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

Additionally, it has okayed ADP worth Tk 9,466 crore for 89 projects of autonomous institutions or corporations.

The approval came at the NEC meeting held at the NEC conference room with its Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair. The prime minister joined the meeting through video conferencing. 

Of the approved ADP worth Tk 205,145 crore, the government plans to provide Tk 134,643 crore through internal sources and Tk 70,502 crore from foreign funds, Planning Minister MA Mannan told journalists after the meeting.

The minister also said highest allocation has been reserved to transportation sector at Tk 52,183 crore.
