Muntassir Mamoon tests Covid-19 positive

Renowned historian and Dhaka University Professor Muntassir Mamoon has tested positive for coronavirus.
Mamoon was admitted to Dhaka's Mugda Medical College and Hospital with clinical symptoms of Covid-19 yesterday afternoon, Golam Shahriar Nabi, acting director of the hospital, confirmed to The Daily Star.

"He [Muntassir Mamoon] has contact history of Covid-19, as his mother tested positive. He assisted his mother closely," Golam Shahriar said earlier.
A professor (Bangabandhu Chair) at the History department of DU, Muntassir Mamoon is also vice-president of Ekatturer Ghatok Dalal Nirmul Committee.
