Man shot dead in Rangamati

A man was shot dead in Kaptai area of Rangamati this morning.

The deceased – Tongchongya Durjoy (35) -- used to carry passengers on his motorcycle on a rental basis, reports our Rangamati correspondent.

Police and locals said miscreants shot him when he was talking on his mobile phone at Karigorpara around 7:30am.

He died on the spot, police said.

Confirming the incident, Officer-in-charge of Chandraghona Police Station Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury said police rushed to the spot to recover the body and are looking to identify the criminals.
