Appreciate the editor's honesty rather than bash him

The Daily Star editor Mr. Mahfuz Anam has recently been sued for defamation for admitting in a TV show that he had a lapse of editorial judgment in publishing news regarding 1/11. Ruling party politicians have raised a hue and cry regarding the issue, demanding the editor's punishment and bashing him every day in media. Though Mr. Mahfuz Anam may have made a mistake in the past, the important thing is that he finally recognised and regretted it, which many others didn't do. I think we should admire his honesty and moral courage instead of criticise him.
