“Reduce workload of Agargaon passport office”

This is in reference to the above titled letter published in TDS on December 20. The writer is absolutely right. Agargaon passport office remains overcrowded all the time. The office has very limited parking space. Thus, cars are usually parked on the street, creating huge traffic jam in the area during office hours. I think it is an excellent idea to pass on some of its workload to its satellite offices which will enable local people to apply for passports in their own areas. I believe if more such offices are established in different areas, the passport office can run much more efficiently.

I hope the authorities concerned would look into the matter seriously and take appropriate measures to reduce people's sufferings.
