7 more suspected measles deaths reported in 24 hrs

The Directorate Geneal of Health Services (DGHS) recorded one more confirmed measles death in last 24 hours ending at 8:00am today, raising this year’s death toll to 43.

The death was reported in Dhaka division.

Besides, the directorate recorded seven more suspected deaths in last 24 hours, taking the total number of suspected deaths to 216. Five deaths were recorded in Dhaka and one each recorded in Sylhet and Rajshahi divisions.

In last 24 hours, total 143 confirmed measles cases were recorded, taking the total confirmed cases to 4,603. A total of 1,421 suspected cases were recorded during the same time, taking the total suspected cases to 32,028.
