3 traders fined for stocking soybean oil, not having licences in Patuakhali

A mobile court in Patuakhali fined three traders Tk 61,000 on charges of illegally stocking soybean oil and other irregularities in Bauphal upazila of the district today (May 14, 2022).

Bauphal Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Md Al Amin conducted the mobile court in Bazar Road area of the upazila headquarters this noon, reports our Patuakhali correspondent.

During the drive, the mobile court fined Gopal Shah, owner of Loknath Bhandar shop, Tk 50,000 for illegally storing 7,800 litres of soybean oil, said UNO Md Al Amin.

Besides, shop owner Gautam Saha was fined Tk 5,000 for not having price list of goods in the shop and for running business without licences while another trader Shankar was fined Tk 6,000 for the same offences, added the UNO.

The UNO was accompanied by Bayezidur Rahman, assistant commissioner (Land) and executive magistrate of the upazila, during the drive.
