S Alam Group donates 20 sets of high-flow nasal cannula to 2 Bogura hospitals

S Alam Group has donated 20 sets of high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) to Bogura's Mohammad Ali Hospital and Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital to resolve their needs.

Bogura district administration authorities received the equipment today, reports our Bogura correspondent.

Later, Ziaul Haque, Bogura deputy commissioner, handed over 10 sets each to the two hospitals.

ATM Nuruzzaman Sonchoy, superintendent of the Mohammad Ali Hospital, said, "Due to the increasing number of Covid-19 patients, the district administration and we are trying to increase the number of equipment and accordingly informed our demand to the health department."

"The S Alam Group authority also sent their engineers to set up of the equipment. Hopefully, we can use them today," he said.

"Right now, 226 patients are admitted to our Covid unit. We have no crisis of oxygen now," Sonchoy added.

In the last two days, seven patients died due of a shortage of high flow oxygen support at Mohammad Ali Hospital.
