Lockdown: 413 arrested for defying Covid-19 restriction in Dhaka

On the fifth day of the of the ongoing lockdown which was extended till July 14, police have arrested 413 persons on charge of defying Covid-19 restrictions and health guidelines on Dhaka streets.

Iftekhairul Islam, additional deputy commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), shared the information.

With them, at least 2516 persons so far were arrested in the capital.

Several mobile courts fined 243 people Tk 98,450 while DMP's Traffic division fined 526 vehicles Tk 12 lakh during this period.
