Covid-19 in Faridpur: 8 more die in 24 hours, positivity rate 45.81%

Eight Covid-19 deaths were recorded in Faridpur in 24 hours (till 8:00am). In addition, six more deaths with Covid-like symptoms were recorded in the past 24 hours.

According to the Faridpur Civil Surgeon's Office, 376 samples were tested in the Faridpur PCR lab during the same period, and 174 were found positive -- 164 from Faridpur -- resulting in a 45.81 percent positivity rate, our correspondent reports.

Saifur Rahman, director of Faridpur coronavirus dedicated hospital, said in 24 hours till 8am today, 14 people died in Faridpur, and of them eight were Covid-19 positive. At least 304 people are undergoing treatment at the hospital. Of them, 236 are coronavirus positive patients and others have symptoms.
