Come to mosque only to perform mandatory prayers: Religious affairs ministry

Considering the worsening situation of Covid-19 across the country, the Ministry of Religious Affairs today extended the guidelines for congregation at mosques till July 14.

The ministry communicated the mandatory guidelines in a gazette notification today.

Devotees were urged to come to the mosques only to perform Fard (mandatory prayers) after performing Nafl and Sunnat prayers and ablution at their respective houses, stated the notification.

Making wearing masks mandatory, the notification asked the mosque authorities to keep enough soap, water and sanitizer ready at the entrance to ensure hygiene.
