8 Covid-19 deaths, 314 new cases recorded in Bogura; positivity rate 27.02%

Eight more people died from Covid-19 in Bogura in 24 hours (till 8 am today). At least 314 tested positive for Covid-19, out of 1162 samples – taking the positivity rate to 27.02 percent.

Of the deceased, six died while undergoing treatment at the 250-bed Mohammad Ali Hospital in Bogura. One died at the Covid-unit of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, and another died at home in Shibganj upazila, reports our correspondent.

Bogura Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Mostafizur Rahman Tuhin said 454 patients are currently receiving treatment at three Covid-dedicated hospitals in Bogura. At present, there are 1271 Covid-19 positive patients in the Bogura district. In 24 hours, only 75 people have recovered from this virus. So far, 427 people have died from Covid-19 in Bogura, he said.
