18 more die in RMCH’s Covid unit in 24 hours; positivity rate in Rajshahi 26.57%
Eighteen more people died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital's (RMCH) Covid unit in 24 hours till this morning.
Of the deceased, nine were Covid-19 positive and nine others died with symptoms, our Rajshahi staff correspondent reports quoting RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani.
Nine of the deceased were from Rajshahi, three from Naogaon, two each from Chapainawabganj and Natore, one each from Pabna and Kushtia, reports our correspondent.
A total of 188 samples were tested in RMCH's RT-PCR Lab (till 8am today) and 24 of them tested Covid-19 positive while 376 were tested at Rajshahi Medical College lab and 113 of them were positive.
The rate of positivity was 26.57 percent in Rajshahi.
During the period, 70 new patients were admitted at RMCH's isolation ward and 48 left hospital after recovery.
With them, in total 485 patients are now undergoing treatment at the Covid unit of the hospital.
