14 Covid-19 deaths, 292 new cases recorded in Kushtia in 24 hours; positivity rate 30.3%
Fourteen more people have died from Covid-19 during 24 hours (till 8am today) in Kushtia. Meanwhile, three persons have died with Covid-19 symptoms.
In 24 hours, at least 292 tested positive for Covid-19, out of 885 samples -- taking the positivity rate to 30.30 percent in the district, reports our correspondent.
Resident Medical Officer of Kushtia General Hospital, Tapas Kumar Sarkar, said, 14 Covid-19 positive people have died in 24 hours while undergoing treatment under Kushtia District Health Department. Three others who died with Covid-19 symptoms were suffering from breathing problem and cough.
He said, currently 259 people are admitted at the 250-bed Kushtia General Hospital -- designated for Covid-19 treatment. Yesterday, there were 265 patients and on July 3, there were 261.
At least 2,439 people are in home isolation in the district.
In Kushtia, 8,766 people have been infected with Covid-19 so far and 245 people have died from the disease.
