Not aware of plan on vaccinating those under 18: DGHS

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has stated that there is currently no plan in place to vaccinate under 18 individuals against Covid-19.

Dr Md Shamsul Haque, secretary general of Covid-19 Vaccine Management Taskforce Committee, said, "The national committee will make a decision on the matter after the government considers it. We will notify everyone as soon as possible."

He shared this information while speaking at DGHS Virtual Health Bulletin on Covid-19 situation this afternoon.

Earlier yesterday (September 4, 2021), Health Minister Zahid Maleque said that those between the age group 12-18 may have an opportunity to receive Moderna or Pfizer vaccines as per recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO).
