Two judges, 8 lower court staffers died of Covid-19 so far
Two sitting judges and eight staff members of lower courts died from Covid-19, since the pandemic hit the country in March last year.
Besides, 325 judges of subordinate courts and 640 of their staffers were infected with coronavirus till July 28, a Supreme Court statement said.
Among the infected, 264 judges and 489 staff members have recovered from the disease.
At present, 59 judges and 140 employees are receiving treatment, according to the statement.
Jhalakathi's Senior Judicial Magistrate Sania Akter died yesterday, while Judge of Lalmonirhat District Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Ferdous Ahmed died on June 24 last year.
