Barishal division records highest single-day Covid deaths, infections

Barishal Division recorded 32 deaths from Covid-19 and its symptoms in 24 hours till this morning, which is the highest single-day toll in the division.

Among them, 15 were coronavirus positive while the rest had symptoms, our correspondent reports, quoting Shyamal Krishna Mandal, assistant director of Barishal Divisional Health Office.

With them, total 514 people died of Covid in the division so far.

A total of 858 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 after testing 2,363 samples in 24 hours till this morning.

The positivity rate in the division is 36.31 percent, which is also the highest infection rate so far.
