16 die of Covid-19, symptoms in Barishal division in a day

Five people died of Covid-19 and 11 with Covid-like symptoms in Barishal division in 24 hours (till 8 am today).

During this period, 1,836 people got tested, and 685 were found positive for the virus. The current positivity rate stands at 37.31 percent, our correspondent reports, quoting Divisional Health Director Dr Basudev Kumar Das.

474 patients have died of Covid-19 in the division so far, said Basudev Kumar.

Some 33,829 active patients have been identified in the division till now and 19,141 of them have recovered, the director added.
