14 die of Covid-19 in Kushtia in 24 hours, infection rate 33.95%

Fourteen Covid-19 patients and four others with symptoms died in Kushtia in 24 hours till 8am today.

In the 24 hours, 533 samples were tested, of which 181 tested positive for coronavirus. Current positivity rate stood at 33.95 percent.

Dr Abdul Momen, Deputy Director of Kushtia General Hospital designated for coronavirus treatment, confirmed the development.

He said the deceased were admitted to different hospitals including Kushtia General Hospital.

At present, total 250 patients are taking treatment at the Covid unit of Kushtia General Hospital till this morning.

Also, 2,818 people are in home isolation in the district so far, the official added.
