11 Covid-19 deaths in Khulna hospitals in 24 hours

Eleven patients died while undergoing treatment at the Covid units of three Khulna hospitals in 24 hours till 8am today.

Of them, five Covid patients died at Khulna Medical College Hospital, said Dr Suhas Ranjan Halder, resident medical officer and spokesperson of the Covid unit at KMCH.

Total 110 people were receiving treatment at the unit during this time, reports our local correspondent.

Meanwhile, one died while being treated at the Covid unit of Khulna General Hospital, said the unit's spokesperson Dr Kazi Abu Rashed. Thirty-five people were taking treatment at the unit till this morning, he added.

At Shahid Sheikh Abu Naser Specialised Hospital, two patients at the Covid unit died during the period, said the unit's spokesperson Dr Prakash Chandra Debnath.

Forty-five patients were receiving treatment during this time at the hospital's Covid unit, the physician added.

Gazi Medical College Hospital Founder Gazi Mizanur Rahman said, three patients died at the hospital's Covid unit during 24 hours till 8am. A total of 76 patients were taking treatment at the unit till morning.
