Body of unidentified woman recovered from floodwater in Netrokona

Police have recovered the decomposed body of an unidentified woman from the floodwater in Netrokona's Kalmakanda upazila today (June 21, 2022).

Khokon Kumar Saha, officer-in-charge of Kalmakanda Police Station, said locals first saw the floating body in the floodwater at Ghaggora area under Kharnoi union of the upazila and informed them, reports our Mymensingh correspondent.

Later, police rushed to spot and recovered the body, he said. They also prepared an inquest report of the body.

OC Khokon said they are yet to identify the body.

The body was sent to Netrokona Modern Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he informed.
