Moushumi and Rubel reunite after 24 years in ‘Deshantor’

Popular artistes Moushumi and Ahmed Rubel are set to share the screen together after a long time for Ashutosh Sujon's government granted film "Deshantor".

Based on a novel written by renowned poet Nirmalendu Goon, the duo started shooting for the film in a small village in Gazipur.

Director Ashutosh Sujon gave a brief synopsis of the movie to The Daily Star

"The story of "Deshantor" revolves around the theme of patriotism and women empowerment. It feels great to capture such versatile and talented artistes together," mentions Sujon.

Moushumi plays the role of Ahmed Rubel's wife in the film. The actress shared her excitement on working with the "Alatchakra" actor after a long time.

"It feels great to work with Ahmed Rubel after 24 years. He is a wonderful artiste and I hope audiences will appreciate our work," says Moushumi.

Ahmed Rubel also expressed his happiness on working with the "Keyamot Theke Keyamot" actress.

"I am truly excited to stand in front of the camera with Moushumi after over two decades. We are giving our best for this project and I hope that we are able to deliver something good for audiences," Rubel added.

Ahmed Rubel starrer "Alatchakra" was released in theatres last year in March while Moushumi's last feature film "Souvagoo" was released last Eid.
