Message in my palm for two-faced friends: Pori Moni
"I'm still in trauma. I couldn't sleep in last 27 days. The nightmare is not over yet," film actress Pori Moni told The Daily Star over phone after she returned home from jail this evening.
After 27 days of imprisonment, Pori Moni left jail at 9:36am today.
Pori Moni said "I am exhausted. But my spirit is still unbroken as I have done nothing wrong."
"I have worked for people all my life. I have stood by people, I have not indulged in any wrongdoing," she said.
When asked about her experience in jail, Pori Moni said, "After I get to rest and recover, I will share with the media what happened."
Referring to the words written with mehedi (henna) on her palm, she said, "My message was for those who speak of love but were not there for me when needed. I don't need these two-faced people in my life. The words on my palm are for them."
And how did she get henna in prison? Pori Moni responded: "While I was waiting in the jail office room to finish the formalities, I saw a girl putting henna on her hand. I borrowed it to write the message on my palm."
On August 5, Pori Moni and her associate Ashraful Islam Dipu were shown arrested in the case filed by the Rapid Action Battalion with Banani Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.
The previous day, members of the elite force detained them. They seized foreign liquor and narcotics from Pori Moni's residence.
