Chayanika Chowdhury joins Puja festivities with two specials

Two of noted director Chayanika Chowdhury's Puja specials will air on private channels on October 5. "Sharod Prate" will air on NTV at 8:30 pm, while "Anondodham" will premiere on Maasranga Television at 10:30 pm.

"Sharod Prate" is centered around Joya (Tanjim Saiyara Totini), a sweet and simple girl, who has lost faith in Goddess Durga, and loathes the idea of marriage. She becomes stone-hearted after a life-jarring incident, that jolted her life five years ago. She does not offer any prayers or believe in the blessings of Durga Maa.

Her paternal aunt, Surovi, along with her son Rahul, comes to their house on the occasion of Mahalaya. The charming Rahul (FS Nayeem) has his eyes set on the beautiful Joya, but she does not want to have anything to do with him. Will Joya ever open up her heart again?

"Anondodham" stars Abul Hayat, Milli Bashar, Rukaiya Jahan Chamak, and Arosh Khan in pivotal roles. The drama revolves around the stern Mohidor Babu (Abul Hayat), who has stopped celebrating Durga Puja, after his daughter eloped with a man she barely knows. Mohidor Babu has brought up an orphan boy namedAnondo (Arash Khan), who takes care of him religiously.

Both of the tele-fictions will add to the festivities of Durga Puja, as they promise to bring a fresh twist to the ever-present festival narratives.
