Amitabh Bachchan’s 79th birthday today

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is celebrating his 79th birthday today. People from across India are pouring their well-wishes and love upon him, who is also lovingly called Big B.

Amitabh Bachchan made his debut in Bollywood in 1969 with the film "Saat Hindustani". Till now, the celebrated actor has starred in more than 200 films and is revered in both Bollywood and Hollywood.

He has been honoured with many prestigious awards and among them, the most noteworthy is the "Padma Vibhushan" (India's second-highest civilian honour) in 2015.
