Technical issues delay Star Cineplex’s Eid day launch

Star Cineplex authorities had announced that a new branch in Narayanganj would open from the day of Eid-ul-Fitr. However, it has not yet been launched.

Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, AGM of the Media and Marketing Department of Star Cineplex, confirmed the matter to Prothom Alo. He stated that the branch, located at Shimanto Tower in Jalkuri, could not be opened due to technical reasons. It is expected to be launched soon.

Star Cineplex to open new branch in Narayanganj this Eid

This branch will have a total of three screens. Two of the halls will each have 178 seats, while the third will have 75 seats.

Mesbah Uddin Ahmed also noted that Star Cineplex’s second branch in Chattogram has already opened.

The existing cinema hall on the sixth floor of Finlay Square in the No 2 Gate area of the city has been converted into a Star Cineplex. This multiplex, comprising two screens with 72 and 16 seats respectively, has been acquired by Star Cineplex and will now operate under its management.

Earlier, in 2022, Star Cineplex launched a branch at Bali Arcade Shopping Complex in Chawk Bazar, Chattogram.
