On November 20, The Honourable High Court raised questions as to the legality of Kazi Rezaul Hoque as Chariman of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) for two terms. As the law of NHRC Act 2007 in section 6(3) states that a person cannot be member of NHRC for more than two terms and the chairman was also previously its member. The court also issued a rule asking Reazul to explain in four weeks under what authority he has been holding the office of NHRC chairman. - The Daily Star online edition November 20 2016.
