Drives against anomalies at pvt health institutions to continue: health secretary

Health Secretary Abdul Mannan today said ongoing drives against anomalies by different private healthcare institutions will not stop.

The task-force members will immediately conduct drives when they receive any allegation against healthcare organisations, Mannan told journalists after a meeting with leaders of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) and representatives of private hospitals and clinics in the ministry.

"We are considering to provide a hotline number for people to submit their allegation," the secretary also said.

The DGHS will update the list of all private hospitals and clinics including their license status within August 23 and will then start accepting license renewal applications, said Dr Farid Hossain Miah, director (hospitals and clinics) at DGHS.
