Editor of Daily Ajker Potrika dies of Covid-19 like symptoms

Mohsin Hossain Bablu, editor and publisher of local newspaper Daily Ajker Potrika, died showing symptoms of Covid-19 at his residence in Satkhira town early today.

Mohsin (58) had been suffering from fever and breathing problems for the last six to seven days, a correspondent from Satkhira reports.

He was a patient with heart disease and diabetes had been receiving treatment from home at Atpukur in the town, according to his nephew GM Masuduzzaman.

He suffered severe shortness of breathing around 1:00am and died before being taken to hospital, Masuduzzaman added.

He left behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives to mourn his death.

The editor will be buried at his family graveyard after a namaz-e-janaza at his village Devnagar in Satkhira town later in the day, said family members.
