Her portrayal of Hurmoti in the hit television series, “Shongshoptok” was widely appreciated by viewers. Recently, she was honoured with the Aly Zaker Sanman Padak.

A solo photography exhibition, titled ‘Climate Migrants in Bangladesh’ by Abir Abdullah, began at La Galerie of Alliance Francaise de Dhaka (AFD) in Dhanmondi recently. 

In 1971, at the age of 17, Mamun photographed Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on March 3, 1971. “I didn’t know he’d make the call for independence on March 7, but I happened to have witnessed and captured the moment,” he recalled. Ever since, Mamun grew a passion to capture portraits of famous personalities through his lenses. He captured portraits of more than 8,000 famous personalities till date.

Indian artist Shruti Gupta Kasana’s solo exhibition, titled ‘Mukher Abhibyakti’ started off at Dhaka Gallery from November 12.

Noted artist Syed Golam Dastagir’s first solo exhibition “Temperament of Time” came to a close yesterday at Gallery Shilpangan. The event was inaugurated on 22nd October by eminent educationist Dr Syed Manzoorul Islam.

A grand celebration was held at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, marking eminent actor and Member of Parliament Asaduzzaman Noor’s 75th birthday today. The event, titled Tomari Hok Joy,  was organised by the Asaduzzaman Noor Jayanti Uddojapon Jatiyo Committee, spearheaded by Professor Anup Roy. Renowned thespians Ramendu Majumdar and Nasiruddin Yousuff Bachchu were joint conveners of the event.

Bangladesh Art Week (BAW) launched three distinct yet correlated exhibitions, “Connection”, “I•D•E•N•T•I•T•Y WHO ARE YOU....TODAY?”, and “Undefined Territory” in Dubai, which will be on display till November in Dubai.
