Tamalika Karmaker returns to stage after three years
National Award-winning actress Tamalika Karmaker has been a part of theatre for almost 30 years. She began her journey with “Pathor”, directed by Azizul Hakim and produced by Aranyak Natyadal. For the theatre troupe’s 50th anniversary, Tamalika is all set to return to the stage and is already taking part in rehearsals.

50 years of Aranyak Natyadal
Ekushey Padak-winning actor, Mamunur Rashid founded the Aranyak Natyadal in 1972, along with a group of young people who had returned from the war. Today marks the 50th anniversary of the group. To celebrate the occasion, an eight-day festival has been organised, which will end on February 3.

Noted actor Mamunur Rashid, a member of the event organising committee, confirmed the news at the press conference for the event, held yesterday at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy’s Seminar Hall.

Theatre festival “Aly Zaker Notuner Utshob” has kicked off in Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy today, at 6:30 pm To celebrate the essence theatre itself and pay respect to one of the greatest Bangladeshi thespians, Aly Zaker, Nagorik Natya Sampradaya organised the first "Notuner Utshob" with seven plays in 2019. This year, it had been renamed after Aly Zaker.

‘Aly Zaker Notuner Utshob 2023’ coming next week
Celebrating the essence of Bangladeshi theatre itself, eminent thespian and television persona Aly Zaker and his theatre troupe Nagorik Natya Sampradaya organised the first “Notuner Utshob”, with seven theatre plays back in 2019.
Now, paying respect to the late artiste, this year’s festival has been titled “Aly Zaker Notuner Utshob 2023”.

Morph(in)- Humans, metaphors, and dystopia
"Morph(in)", a visual art exhibition by Reesham Shahab Tirtho, Ata Mojlish, Abir Shome, and Kazi Tahsin Agaz Apurbo was inaugurated at Dwip Gallery, Lalmatia on December 02, 2022. The four artists took the initiative to showcase their artworks following a certain concept and "Morph(in)" is the result of their artistry.
